KS2 Haven C Pathway

KS2 Haven C Pathway Purpose: Intended to support any pupil who; 

  • Have moved from out of County and have no named mainstream setting 
  • Have received a PEX and are currently a Child in Care

Timescales

The KS2 Haven C Pathway can be a full-time offer with a timescale of up-to two years. During these two years a new setting may be identified via different routes, such as from EHCP consultation process, parental application or sought via professionals collaborating such as social services/Educational Access Team/Virtual School.  

Curriculum

With the pathway offer being full time, the full breadth of the Primary National Curriculum will be delivered in order to meet statutory entitlement. There is a daily diet of Maths, English, Literacy and Reading each morning. Then foundation subjects are delivered across the week, with all pupils receiving one swimming lesson per week as well as an on-site PE session. PSHE is both explicitly taught twice over the three days and also interwoven through all aspects of the Raedwald Provision. 

Assessment

If/when the Assessment Centre identifies significant gaps, this will be fed back to the home-school SENCo who may direct intervention to be delivered by Raedwald staff as part of the pathway offerThese identified interventions will be assessed according to the APDR cycle, directed by the home-school and in some cases facilitated by Raedwald Trust staff and shared with the parents/carers.
