The Raedwald Trust Child in Care programme is an exciting new provision formed in 2017 in partnership with the Suffolk Virtual School. With two hubs, one in South West Suffolk (based in Ipswich) and another in North Suffolk (based in Beccles) we serve 42 young people from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4. Our provision supports children in care who have experienced difficulties with their learning and/or behaviour in school. We adopt a fully inclusive philosophy where all young people should feel empowered to achieve the very best they can.
Our team works closely with Suffolk schools, social care and the Psychology and Therapy Service to support our young people academically, socially and emotionally and to ensure that our pupils are offered the very best life chances despite the obstacles they may have encountered during their young lives so far.
